  • Does it cost to be a member of the clubhouse?

    We have no dues or fees for being a member.

  • What is a brain injury clubhouse?

    This is not a place where people sit around waiting for a caregiver to get off work or to waste a day. This is a place where skilled individuals with desires, passions and strengths contribute to a whole. This is real life community with the mission to move every individual forward toward a goal.

  • What criteria is needed to join the clubhouse?

    An individual needs to have a documented acquired brain injury, be medically stable and manage medication, wheelchair, walker, etc. and must be able to take care of ADLs independently.

  • What are hours of operation?

    The clubhouses are open to members from 9-3 each day they are open. Currently, our Plano location, bind Plano, is open M-F, while Ft. Worth, BINDFW, is open T-Th. We will update the website as we continue to grow.

  • How often can I attend?

    You may participate in the work-ordered-day as many times a week as you like at the clubhouse. Members attend a variety of schedules. Everything from daily, 5X/week to once a week. Again, its up to you are what you desire.

  • Do I do therapy at the clubhouse?

    Through the work-ordered-day each individual works on the skills that you desire. This non-traditional therapy helps build hope, community and purpose by working side-by-side with others that desire to improve their lives. You can complete professional therapy in rehabilitation centers and with professional therapists.

  • Is this a therapy center or do you have therapists on staff?

    While some of staff are licensed in their discipline, we do not provide traditional therapy of any kind. The therapy is not medical treatment. It is therapy by doing work at the clubhouse.

  • Does the clubhouse serve lunch?

    Members do prepare a lunch for the clubhouse, but only certain days. These days vary so check when you apply.es here

  • Is the clubhouse a day program or adult daycare?

    While we do operate everyday, we are not an adult daycare (No residential services available). Members are required to be medically independent and stable to participate in the work-ordered-day and tasks to run the clubhouse.

  • What will I do there?

    You will participate in meaningful work of the clubhouse, such as podcast, merchandise production, communications, outreach & advocacy and social media activities.

  • Are you open on the weekends?

    Although we have some fundraising activities on the weekend, the clubhouses are closed. Members plan and participate in social activities outside of the clubhouse business and attend independent from any clubhouse activities. here

  • Can you pick me up from my house?

    Our clubhouses do not currently have transportation to provide to members. Most members attend by driving, being driven, public transportation or Uber. We can help connect members to the DART Paratransit program.

  • What will I do at the clubhouse?

    You have an opportunity each day to take on new and different challenges. You select the work you want to do each day. You can select the same work at each visit or do different things everyday.
